I don't know about your little one but mine likes to know what we are doing everyday. Also I find this makes transitions to different activities easier. I took an old box of diapers and cut them up into 4x4 inch squares. Then I went to Fabric Land to get some velcro as I plan on putting up the list. I cut the velcro into strips to on onto the back of the card board. ** lesson learned here*** I also cut the side that the sign will attach too, bad idea for me at least. I am planning on making a line of sign so would have been better off to not cut that part and have it intact to go right across what I will put it up on. So back to Fabric Land I go ***lesson number two*** This time I got larger opposite velcro part which was great and with tape already on it. Should have done that the first time. I did attach the velcro to the cardboard with glue which didn't work so great so also had to staple it. The velcro with the tape already on it is much stronger = better.
Then I found some pictures on word and made these signs, printed and cut them out. I glued the signs onto the cardboard which makes them stronger to last longer. That worked out great. To store them and the ones we are not using that day I re-purposed an old kcup box. I don't have it shown here but after I covered the box with paper that my son had drawn on. Again cut it to fit and glued it on.
As I have not taken the photos yet. My next DYI blog will show you my combined efforts with my chalk board wall and my to do signs.
