I found a great new toy cleaning tool today. My first son spit up a lot and by a lot I mean every feeding and all over his toys all the time. Like any liquid it gets into ever nook and cranny. Didn't think I would be able to get these toys to look like new due to this until today. I found my new toy cleaning tool, thanks to my husband liking to chew and play with these new type of tooth picks. It hit my today wow on one side is a brush and the other side a digger and scraper.
So got out my vinegar, paper towel, q-tips and these new tooth picks.
Toy with many little crevices that spit up, food and other unsightly baby goop can get into.
You can either spray with vinegar with the nozzle very close to the crevices or just spray the paper towel and use your fancy tooth pick. If very gunky and old I suggest direct spraying and let it sit for a few minutes. Then use the paper towel with the tooth pick to get the majority of it out.
After the last step you may still have some gunk that just does not want to come out. This is where the scrubber side of the tooth pick come in hand. Scrub away and really get into those corners, you can also use the knife like edge side to so some scraping. I found both side really worked will to get everything out.
This is me using the tiny knife side to get deep down in the tiny space. There was a lot of old spit up in there. My first born had silent Gerd so he spit up all the time on everything.
Once I got all the yucky stuff loose I took a cotton swab to get it out. You can also go back and use more paper towel with your tooth pick for this part.
This worked really great for me and got the toy looking brand new. If you have a baby who spits up a lot like I did you know the mess it can make of these type of toys. Hope this help you too.
