So a poo incident happened the other day which made me realize having worked with and ridden horses for over 30 actually helped prepare me for that moment. Here is a list of 5 ways being with horses prepared me for kids.
This blog was inspired by my friend Lorn who just got into a bicycle accident. As he put it; his tire got stuck in the streetcar tacks, the bike stopped, he did not. Now he is in the hospital with a badly sprained ankle and maybe a tibia fracture. Since I've had my share of badly sprained ankles from horse riding accidents I thought I would share a great way to treat them. Someone who competed in Karate competitions told me the best way to treat such injuries as it was taught to him.
Today was a super fun day for my photos. Last weekend I went to a horse show to take some photos for a family and for Horse Junkies United. It was a beautiful day and loved taking photos of horses in action again. Was a little bit more difficult with toddler and infant in tow but my husband was there to help. HJU (horse junkies united) not only put my photos on their website but did a meme of one of my pictures. It's gotten a lot of shares so far which for me is pretty cool. Now I decided maybe I should add a facebook page to go with my website. Busy rainy day trying to work and help look after the boys.
My toddler well I guess now maybe he is a preschooler? Had fun at the Rip Gauthier Hunter Derby. He played with my friend's son, played in the dirt, watched some horses and sat on a very cute, very little pony names Itsy Bitzy. Even my husband had fun for once although I think the "special coffees" and wine had something to do with it. All in all it was a nice family day out and a good work day for me.
